Happy 4th of July! (Sorry, England…) On July 3, Alan Cressler, my botanist and photographer friend from Atlanta, Georgia and I made a day trip up to the Mt. Mitchell, North Carolina area to photograph Rhododendron maximum or Rosebay Rhododendron. I had seen it in bloom just the week before, and I wanted to get
